12/1/2011 Road Closer’s in Golden Valley County

There are still several roads that are closed in Golden Valley County and will remain closed most of the winter and into the spring.  Due to the spring flooding in 2011 and the lack of man power Golden Valley County will have to keep the following roads closed until they can be fixed.

Nine mile road, Swimming Woman road, Jessie road,

The Buffalo Hwy south of Box Car/Daily road to the Yellowstone County Line is in very poor condition at this time and should be avoided if possible.  This road is scheduled to be worked on by the road department as soon as possible.  The road department is now working on the South Shawmut road just North of the Sweetgrass County line and there is only one lane of traffic in this area.  There is also water and ice on the Judith Gap road between Allen road and Rothemay road.  Please be careful when traveling the County Roads.

12/1/2011 Swimmming Woman Update

As many of you have already heard we now have a new easement with the Lazy S ranch to build a New County Road up Swimming Woman.  This will take place sometime the spring of 2012.  For now the old County Road is still closed.  If you have questions about the new road please give me a call.

Swimming Woman Road Update

08.20.2011  The first five miles of Swimming Woman Road is now marked as Hazardous Roads.  The first wash-out has been repaired temporary for emergency conditions at this time.  The road is again closed after this wash-out to all motorized vehicles including ATV’s and motorcycles.  Again I would like to remind everyone that if you go onto private property ( leaving county road rightaway ) this would be a trespass issue and could be cited for that offense.
